Our Journey: From Small Beginnings to Community Cornerstone.

The Source started small in August 2019, coinciding with the launch of Arkansas's medical marijuana program. Our business grew rapidly, leading to the construction of a purpose-built facility in the heart of Northwest Arkansas, strategically located on the Bentonville/Rogers line.

Rooted in Northwest Arkansas: Our Commitment to Local Growth.

Upon moving to our new location, we made a pivotal decision: instead of expanding laterally, we chose to grow like a tree, deepening our roots in Northwest Arkansas. This approach allows us to provide sustainable jobs for our team members, act as a community cornerstone and offer quality service and cannabis products to thousands in our area.

The Tip Match Program: A New Chapter in Community Engagement

In June 2023, we elevated our commitment to the community. Our budtenders and marketing team collaboratively developed the Tip Match program, launching a new era of giving back.

How the Tip Match Program Works.

Our Tip Match program is designed to create a ripple effect of positivity in our community, while ensuring our budtenders are valued for their excellent service. Here's how it unfolds:
1.

We choose a partner.

Each month, we partner with a local nonprofit organization. On our busiest day of the month, we spotlight this organization. Our team starts the day learning about the cause, becoming ambassadors for the nonprofit.
2.

We share the mission

Throughout the day, we share the nonprofit's mission with our customers (typically 500-600 people). Customers are encouraged to tip our budtenders for their service, as they normally would. Our budtenders keep 100% of their tips, as always.
3.

We match the total.

At the end of the day, we tally the total amount of tips received by our budtenders.The Source then makes a donation matching the total tip amount to our nonprofit partner.This doubles the impact: our budtenders are rewarded for their hard work, and the community benefits.

The Power of Awareness and Education.

When we conceptualized the Tip Match program, we wanted to leverage the power of awareness, given our high daily foot traffic. It's one thing to simply make a donation, but it's entirely another to connect with an organization, get educated about their cause, and then be of service to our community by educating thousands of people.

We've taken these teachings and incorporated them into much of what we do at The Source. For example, when we hosted the Suicide Prevention organization, we learned that Vitamin D helps fight against depression. This knowledge influenced our product development, leading us to incorporate Vitamin D into all of The Source Apothecary's seasonal gummies. We aim to boost our community in every way possible, and we do that through attention to detail and by making creative connections.
